The teeth too are mobile
squat and white cottages burning rubber towards a place by the tranquil water
Tranquil in this decomposition
I shade against the weight of a buttery sun
no longer visible but smelt in the corners
of a large house
that resemble not corners but the mouths of one blackened river.
Might have been the first fall, first mirror, first siege, first double, but won’t be the last.
I’d replicated love in the form of devastation.
